Rosewood Counselling & Coaching Services

Laura Allen
Psychologist, Counsellor, Coach & Coaching Supervisor

As a Psychologist, Counsellor and Coach, I  offer a safe therapeutic space where you can discuss and explore the difficulties you are facing. I offer a range of holistic therapeutic interventions including psychotherapy and behaviour change modification towards positive wellbeing.

As an integrative therapist I am experienced in drawing upon different models such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, attachment based, person centred/existential and Mindfulness practice.

The most important part of the work we do together is to encourage a ‘commitment to action’ ethos and develop lasting personal growth and change using goal setting and action plans, whilst identifying barriers towards change. I am able to work short term or can offer longer term support if needed.

Outside of private practice, I work within a mental health team at a university offering wellbeing support to students. Through the university I am completing a PhD in Psychology, researching the connection between mindfulness, fears of compassion, stress and the body using neuroscience techniques such as EEG. I also guest lecturer on the MSc Mindfulness and Compassion course at Coventry University.

Adam Priest
Personal Trainer & Performance Coach

I have been a Performance Coaching for over ten years. Alongside this role I created Hungry4Fitness a website dedicated to fitness, health and training advice. My primary objective as a Performance Coach is to empower the client so that they can take charge of their own lives leading ultimately to positive changes in behaviour. I provide support and guidance through every stage of the transformative process whilst endeavouring to cultivate self-efficacy, develop essential life skills and exchange functional knowledge.

My area of expertise is centred on supporting individuals who are struggling to implement and maintain lifestyle improvement initiatives. This could include, for example, developing healthier dietary habits, creating and implementing an exercise programme, enhancing general motivation and/or working towards personal aspirations.

The coaching approach I adopted is solution focused which incorporates a multimodal blend of behavioural strategies making for a service tailored to each client’s personal needs.

Whilst also working with Rosewood Counselling and Coaching Services, I am a college lecturer and personal trainer providing motivational mentoring services to individuals who are struggling to achieve a healthier and happier state.
